As Chairman of BondAdviser, Chris is responsible for the leadership of the Board including:

  • Facilitating correct and relevant information flow to the Board
  • Ensuring effective functioning of the Board including managing the conduct, frequency and focus of board meetings
  • Composition and structure of the board and communication of its views, in conjunction with the CEO, to the organisation’s security holders, broader stakeholders and to the public
  • Supporting the Managing Director

Chris is a corporate lawyer with a wide range of investment experience and a key contributor to complex corporate transactions. For many years he was Legal Director and Company Secretary of Coats Viyella plc, a large international manufacturing company listed on the London Stock Exchange, and Legal Director and Company Secretary of Guinness Peat Group plc, an international investment company with a triple stock exchange listing in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Chris was admitted as a solicitor in England in 1987 and amongst many directorships he has held he was Chairman of Staveley Pensions Trustees Limited and a Director of Coats Pensions Trustees Limited, both UK pensions funds which had significant investments in equities and bonds.
